Have you ever noticed that when you think your day can't get any worse something happens that makes you realize how selfish you've been? My day was fine till I started home. I got all the way to Dayton, got out of the car to go get movies, and went to grab my cell phone, and it was gone. I looked all in the front seat, and it wasn't there. It occured to me that I left it at Mas Amigos during lunch. SO I drive all the way back to liberty, and they don't have it. My Mom was shopping, so I track her down and get the key to the shop. I spend 20 minutes at the shop trying to get the door open. I finally go find Mom again and she comes to the shop and unlocks the door, because I am obviously too stupid to do it myself. So I go in, and there is no phone. I call it, and yeah its in the backseat of my jeep, ringing its ass off.
Later that evening I got the joy of entertaining my 5, 8, and 14 year old cousins. You know, just getting to spend that time with them, watching movies, playing games, and laughing till I was crying, just got me thinking about how unimportant the events of my day had really been in the scheme of things. I love being able to lose yourself in a moment. When time stands still and you think about how you'll remember this as long as you live. These precious minutes you get with each other are something that no one will ever be able to take away.
Now I'm off to see the secrets of the Ya-Ya sisterhood with my mother and my aunt. Something we've never done before, but since the guys are outta town, its the perfect weekend for a chick flick fiesta :)
