I was sitting here yesterday contemplating the fact that in exactly 3 months I'll be 22, (SCARY!!!) and that in 5 months my parents will be celebrating their 30th anniversary. WHOA! 30 years with someone is difficult to comprehend when you've only been alive for 22. They are an inspiration to say the least. I can only hope to be as happy as they are when I reach that day. I look at all they have accomplished, both of them coming from absolutely nothing. My mother grew up in denver harbor, youngest girl in a family of 5, and still managed to graduate valedictorian. My father lived with many different relatives growing up, since he was not wanted at home, has been working since age 11, and has managed to build a successful business. Together they seem to be the perfect compliments to each other. I can't imagine what it must have been like to grow up in their shoes, since they have made such a wonderful life for me. I only hope that I will be able to give them as much as they have given me.
