Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.

Court...you're gettin Sharp girl, keep it up!
So, the majority of the American public support Bush? Is that the same "majority" that voted for him in 2000?
Peter [] • 8:51AM March 27th 2003
hey look at the polls peter, he has over 70% of americans support. That is pretty darn good if you ask me
phil [] • 2:55PM March 29th 2003
What are you trying to say Peter? He won the election fair and square and frankly, i dont think we'd wanna know how Gore would have handled 9/11 and the following world situation. He'd probably be on his knees just like his predecessor . Ouch that hurt. I even felt that one.

Sadness part II
I don't know what to say to myself. I'm still terribly sad about something and I had an absolutely wonderful evening with a charming man. I've never had someone take my shoes off and put them on for me. I've never had someone turn the heater on in his truck so I could sit in it while he turned the heater on in mine to warm up enough for me to drive home. I've never had someone sit and rub my feet through a whole movie. Dude, what's my deal? I think my timing is severely F'd here lately.

Someone...save me from myself.
Wonder how you sleep
I wonder what you think of me
If I could go back
Would you have ever been with me
I want you to be unused
I want you to remember
I want you to believe in me
I want you on my side
Come on and lay it down
I've always been with you
Here and now
Give all that's within you
Be my savior
And I'll be your downfall
mmm, mmm, mmm
Here we go again
Ashamed of being broken in
We're getting off track
I wanna get you back again
I want you to trouble me
I wanted you turning down
I want you to agree with me
I want so much so bad
Come on and lay it down
I've always been with you
Here and now
Give all that's within you
Be my savior
And I'll be your downfall
mmm, mmm, mmm

Sadness
I'm suddenly overwhelmed by it. Why is it that there are guys coming out of the woodwork right now begging for my #, asking for dates, buying me beer, telling me that I'm "sweet, nice, cute" but the ONLY one I give any thought to doesn't seem to want to return the feelings? I don't understand. How is it I feel such a 'false' connection sometimes? Really strong ones too. I've liked guys, blah blah blah, but then there have been a couple, actually 3 that made my heart ache. I just wanted to be close to them, know everything about them. Apparently I'm misunderstanding this 'connection'. Oh well, whatever it is, it's made me sick to my stomach every time I eat for the past two weeks. It sucks.

MAN!
I was so ready to go out tonight! I haven't been out in SO long. But Keri doesn't want to go, Kevin and Jessica can't go, Bekah has a sorority banquet, and well...me and Court just don't wanna drive that far. :( But, I'm totally in the mood to go out now. I feel like I'm going to go crazy if I don't do something. I've already driven to town to get movies and cake ( Happy Birthday Kevin! ). I was going to get beer, but I couldn't find my ID. I get home and it's in the washing machine, of course. Why didn't I think to look there in the first place? So I guess I'll grub, get beer/cigs and head to K + J's to watch hehehe COWBOY UP. yeah, you read that right ;)

Good God people, it's over for me. I have officially deemed myself a 'Neck. I may as well just take my 4X4 down to Triggers and shoot some pool with the locals.

You know I think if one of those assclown protesters were to lay down in front of me in the street in a lame ass attempt to prevent me from going about my daily business, It would take all the control I could muster to keep from running them over. I think the biggest deterant would be the fact that although my car is red, I really wouldn't want to get any blood on it.

Can the media grow some damn balls? I've never seen such a big group of Liberal pansy-asses. In 30 minutes, this war will be a week old, and they're talking like it's been a year.
I'm about to go kick some journalist ass the next time I hear some bullshit comparison to the first Gulf War in length. The last Gulf War took 2 months, and didn't even go as far as we are now! It's been less than a week, one damn week, and already the media's testicles have gone into a full retreat. 1250 Iraqi dead for every 1 US soldier, 75% of the country under our control. What the hell more do you want?

Pfc. Joseph DeWitt, 26, of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, carries an Iraqi boy who was injured Tuesday in the fight at Al Faysaliyah.
That's what it's all about right there people. Do you really think Iraq would be doing the same thing for our children if the tables were turned?
I am continually amazed by our AWESOME military. Fox is airing the Centcom briefing as I speak. These pictures are...there are no words. The precision to take out a tank and preserve the bridge it's hiding under. I'm overwhelmed by our military's skill and precision. I've never known this level of respect for anyone before. "so we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our heads" Not to mention their compassion for the people of Iraq. To truly know the enemy is Saddam, not the people. The desire to preserve as much of their country and it's wealth for those people. While the whole time Saddam's troops are tactically based in hospitals and day care centers, dressed in civilian clothing, dressed in our military garb, placing Iraqi citizens in front of military personel and shooting their own, waiting to ambush us unexpectedly.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!

Keep your heads up America, the enemy is always among us.
*This piece partially altered from a previous comment*
A comment about Micheal Moore by 'an inteligent girl' (yeah its spelled wrong on purpose)
He is brave enough to say what the whole world wants to say! Bush is a stupid guy that came from nowhere (Texas)! You are disgusting! Bush doesn't know what is diplomacy and that's not good to USA.
you should try to read more, it would be good to your mind! Maybe you become a smart guy, something that you have never imagined!
Holy Fucking shit! Sorry I went to sleep early last night...But I'm sure as hell here now Bitch! It's 4 am and I'm in NO freaking mood to be as 'diplomatic' about this as my girl Court...
"Bush is a stupid guy that came from nowhere (Texas)! " You STUPID FUCK....
1. Texas has the 8th largest economy in the WORLD!
2. The 2nd largest economy per capita in the world!
3. We're bigger than most hole in the wall excuses for 'countries'
4. And you'd have to be a test tube baby with F.A.S to be ignorant enough to piss one of us off!
5. AMEN KELLOG-The UN is a huge embarrasing failure, get a clue bitch! oh wait...where your from the news is probably too skewed to teach you people the REAL truth!
6. You wanna bring GOD into this? Well here's a newsflash...Bush's is the most faith based presidency in our history. Not only are there bible studies conducted around the oval office, but he spends about and hour every morning alone reading the good book and praying for guidance. I would rest my life in the man's hands and minute of any day.
7. Senator Byrd??? what the hell? I do believe Jared has already reamed his ass for being such a fucking bigot and waste of oxygen.
8. Jared NEVER block this girl's IP. A good conservative must ALWAYS know the enemy and stay vigilant! People like her are the reason I stay informed and make educated decisions based on what is truly right and wrong. She serves as a beautiful example of what we NEVER EVER EVER want the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to become. Always know the constant threat of liberalism waits around every corner to attack our way of life and all that we hold dear. Also know that most of them are card carrying members of the communist and socialist parties, which is TOTALLY unacceptable!
I think we've learned a valuable lesson tonight from this little girl. Never turn your back, never let your guard down, IGNORANCE IS EVERYWHERE! And Darling maybe if you knew the history of our country better, knew how many people died through the years to preserve the most precious of GOD GIVEN rights known as Freedom, had HALF a clue how much pride I posses as an AMERICAN and A TEXAN, or even had one eighth of a clue what in the blue hell you were talking about...just maybe you wouldn't be getting such an ASS reaming.
GOD BLESS AMERICA! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! GOD BLESS GEORGE W. BUSH! GOD BLESS A FREE IRAQ! and GOD BLESS TEXAS!
Now, Cowboy tha FUCK UP and bring it on bitch!

Russia, France, China...
I tell you what, it seems to me that the world needs to do some SERIOUS housecleaning. Most of you probably know by now that I think the UN is a complete and total joke. I wonder just what the hell they're going to have to say for themselves when this is all said and done and they look like the utter fools that they really are? Maybe after we get through with Iraq and the rest of the middle east, we should continue with the ass kicking. I've always been told that you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you, but apparently Mother Russia forgot to teach her children that lesson. I'm mean come on? How stupid do you have to be to think that our intelligence wouldn't find out your dumb Russian asses were in Iraq last Friday instructing the Iraqi's on how to use weapons against us? Last time I checked we had satellites that could read newsprint. They described Bush's recent conversation with Putin as "blunt" I can imagine that might be somthing of an understatement. I can see Bush calling him out red handed. PRICELESS, now there's a commercial for you Mastercard.
~Cost of Bush's war $75 billion
~Cost of gas mask $149.00
~Cost of long distance phone call to Russia $0.25/minute (?)

The Mrs. Education of Lacy Cooper
Yeah, who knew that I didn't know everything? Well apparently I've been grossly misinformed about music my whole life. My tastes seem to be below par and generally shallow. OK...Maybe I exagerated, I do have a small base upon with to build my new empire of acceptable music, such as the Rolling Stones, Robert Earl Keen Jr., Godsmack, SRV, Rage Against The Machine, Willie Nelson, Johny Cash. However, it seems I have a lot of catching up to do to satisfy the musical standards of Josh. I guess I'll have to investigate some Steve Earl and Townes Van Zandt. I was informed this weekend that "John Mayer is just a DMB wannabe rip-off" which I find greatly amusing since I'd rather have q-tips jabbed in my ears repeatedly to listen to bullshit liberal DMB.

Virgo
August 23 - September 22
A temporary separation from someone very close to you can have you reflecting on the good times you've spent with that person, especially over the past few weeks. At some point you're likely to talk with him over the phone. You're feeling a lot of warmth and affection toward everyone around you - but a little sad as well, particularly when you think of those who live far away. Call them up, dear Virgo! They'll be glad to hear from you.

24 hours
And the world waits...knowing the conviction of justice, feeling the gravity of reality, hearts heavy with responsibility. While I sit back and watch history being made my mind races with millions of thoughts. Being bombarded at every turn with events and songs, poems and expressions, truth and lies, right and wrong, good and bad, knowledge and ignorance. So overwhelmed at the chance to absorb every minute of it, getting angry at myself for not being informed on every detail. And yet so very alive with an amazing passion for my country, it's military, our freedoms, it's people, it's beauty, it's ability to be a beacon of light for those still lost in the dark. There burns such a fire within me. I'm many times speechless at all I've encountered in the past 19 months, and greatful that so many Americans share this same sentiment with me. I stand with my country, with it's leaders, with my President, and with those who fight in the name of Freedom so that I can. On that note let me just say...

Flor-idiots...As Kash and Triston would say
So there we were, pimped out, ready for the beach, ready for the sun, ALMOST there. When it happens...Our first encounter with an authentic Flor-idiot (aka Floridian). There's an old school grand am in front of me and and old man on the side street. A very confused old man who "lived here is whole life" but yet couldn't seem to remember that the street he was attempting to turn right on was a ONE WAY street, and not in his way. So as he slams into the grand am in front of me, I attmept to avoid the collision unsuccessfully. After crashing into his passenger side door I could feel the RAGE running through my veins. When I stepped out of my car to assess the damage I had to take a few deep breaths and perform a quick temper check. When Court opened her door glass fell inside, and after further inspection it was found all over the roof, in the bug guard, and all over the hood. A police officer immediately responded and spent the next hour and a half hashing out the details of the accident, which were...
1. Old asshole in Altima responsible for whole thing
2. Young guy in 80's reject car possesses no insurance and no title on his 'new' car
3. Young guy's 'girlfriend' has to be checked out by EMT, since she is pregnant, meanwhile her two children are running around the parking lot
4. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
5. Shit for brains tow truck driver attempts to exploit me since I am of course a helpless female, by telling me some 'thingy' on my wheel wasn't working properly.
6. Shit for brains tow truck driver tries my patience. I inform him sternly that I will be driving my Durango home and if the wheel falls off while I'm driving down the road, that will be my problem.
7. The old girl is quite drivable only cosmetic damage.
8. I get a preliminary police report and am instructed to pick up an official one at the police station in a few days for a small fee of $2
9. I obtain police report only to find to my dismay, Old fuck-off had expired insurance
10. I report accident to my insurance today and fax over the Police Report ( it's fully covered, woohoo)
For all the bitching I was doing in my head about how expensive gas was, I sure was relieved to walk away from two totalled out cars with a slightly dented fender, busted grill guard, and trashed plastic bumper. All in all not too bad, could have always been worse.
So take your lessons hard and stay with him
When your car crash comes, don't be misled
Convince yourself that everything is alright
'Cos it already is
p.s. this whole fucking ordeal happened in front of a freaking Wendy's! damn the irony

Tears of the Sun was AWESOME! I am of course a Bruce fan in a major way, that man is so hot (and of course he's a republican Bush supporter, that always helps). That movie was so moving. If you can sit through it and watch the horror, and for one minute even dare to question what we are doing in Iraq...You're fucked up in the head and that's all there is to it. It was pretty graphic, I think I cried through the majority of the film. It just drew so many parallels with exactly what we are facing right now.

HAHA...
My computer moniter is older than dirt, I've had it since windows 95 was fairly new. Well from time to time it does this 'shaky' thing and looks like it's going to fry any minute. So I'm sitting here reading some stuff and brushing my teeth at the same time (multitasking, yeah I'm cool like that) and the screen starts pulsating, only I can't tell if it's the screen or my head pulsating due to my groovy vibrating dental cleaning utensil.

There is such a thing as being too honest, dear Virgo. You have experienced in the past how your determination to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth can cause hurt feelings. Today, try to exercise a bit of tact and diplomacy. You will still be able to get your point across, with the added bonus that your audience will still be speaking to you once you've done so.
great

I love the lake SO much, I think that it wouldn't take much to convince me that east Texas is about as close to heaven as one can get on any given day. Even yesterday speeding across the lake in bone chilling temperatures with tears stinging my eyes and streaming down my face due to the wind, I was still breatheless at the beauty. There was a welcome break in the cloud cover today revealing a beautiful sky I haven't seen in over 10 days.
I'm going to begin my light therapy tomorrow to combat this severe case of S.A.D. I've got going on. Apparently you can fool yourself with intense exposure to high output lamps. (Oh and on that note Fuck a bunch of this damn El Nino shit, didn't we just go through this a few years ago?) The lake was like glass today and if I hadn't forgotten my fishing license the catfish would have been in grave danger. Watching Bryan jerk them out of the water as fast as he could get his hook wet wasn't too appealing to a 'stump watcher' ;) That poor guy, I don't know what to think about him. I think he's terribly afraid of me. Instead of talking directly to me, he talks to one of my parents and lets them relay the message, even when I'm standing there. And yes this is the same guy that just a few weeks ago my best friend caugh living it up at SHSU, go figure. Maybe I just need to get him all liquored up. We did tons of exploring today in the Jeep. We took her up there and left her, she's the camp car now. For a brief moment I found myself taken aback by nostalgia, then the liftgate slammed down on my head and reality set in nice and clear. I don't miss that Jeep at all. I took a nice little nap on the way home and now I'm all wired so it's off to study study study. :)
God blessesd Texas with his own hand
brought down angels from the promised land
gave them a place where they could dance
if you wanna see heaven brother here's your chance
I've been sent to spread the message....
God blessed Texas

Virgo Aug. 23 - Sept. 22
As much as you love someone, it can be impossible to understand them all the time. Partners cross swords when their agendas conflict. Maybe you talked about this, but it still doesn't make things any easier. Unrelated sets of details blend into an overall picture that defies logic. You thought the Universe had agreed to behave itself. Looking on the bright side, you see that something great may come of it. You also know that work is required to make it happen. Get busy.

Today you might notice a change in yourself, dear Virgo. You might look in the mirror and see that you suddenly look as gorgeous as a movie star. This change in your outer self is due to transformations taking place within.
You've probably been releasing a lot of old traumas from the past, and therefore considerable stress and tension has vanished from your face. Treat yourself to some new clothes! It's a great time to do it!
Both of them dead on, how weird.
