I don't even know where to begin on this day. It wasn't exactly horrible, but it sure as hell wasn't good. I hate getting caught up in someone else's politics, ESPECIALLY when it might have some influence on my academic career. One persons only ''worried about numbers" and the next is only "worried about me doing what's good for me." I've had enough he said she said shit shoved down my throat in the past week to make me scream. These are professionals, I just am amazed they are acting like children. I've been stuck in a compromising position because the Geology department at Lamar is only out for each one's personal gain. Everyone's trying to push their agenda and to hell with anyone else. I've already withdrawn my deposit and put it towards the trip I originally wanted to go on. Now I face the task of telling my Proffessor that I've chosen the other trip after I've already commited to his. I've got valid reasons, I have a good arguement, but for some reason I feel like I'm 5 years old telling my Mom I'm not going to clean my room because I don't wanna. So on top of all this crap I've been worried about, let me tell ya some things I've learned from this sorry ass mutha f#cker I know...
Ladies...
When he says "she's just a friend" what he really means is "I'm banging her too and I wanted to know if you'd be interested in a threesome"
When he says "we're not going out" what he really means is "well maybe we're not going out, but we're sure as hell going to make out right in front of your face"
When he says "women shouldn't be independent, they should be submissive to husbands" what he really means is " I'm a fucking prick and my Dad probably treats my Mom like shit, so I'm going to treat you like shit too"

he makes snide comments about you listening to your walkman on the way to class
