Let the Countdown Begin...
That's right Baby, 14 days till B- Town gets rocked out the SouthEast Texas way. Are Baltimore, DC, and New York ready for Secret Agents L-Dawg and C-Funk? Is the Myers household prepared for some dirty south representation?? Can the Camry handle two hot babes on a cross country road trip??? Time will tell my friends, time will tell. Until then I'll be making list after list after list, leaving nothing behind. Mixing the ULTIMATE road trip cds. Yes my friends "FUN" it's what we do best. Off tha hook in every way. That's us the 'incognegro' duo takin on the world. There is so much fun to be had I don't know how we're going to fit it in. Because oh yes...there's Asti to drink, memories to be made, and moments to be captured. The perfect end to the summer. The perfect birthday present. The perfect photography opportunities.

As much as I'd LOVE to get on my political soapbox about this
childish display the Democrats have going on here in Texas right now I'm really too tired to have a whole lot of interesting things to say about it. So on that note I'm going to pray that my Political Genius of a 'Brother',
Jared is going to hit this up real soon for me.

When the past comes back to haunt you
Well not exactly haunt you I don't guess, but certainly bite you in the rear. In a way it's kinda good because I ended up getting something off my chest that had totally been bothering me since my freshman year of high school and I was just too chicken shit to take the blame for my actions. So now that I've got a second chance I wanna make it right. Sometimes you just aren't lucky enough to get that second chance, I figure I better take advantage of it. Obviously there is something to be learned from it if God found it important enough to put before me for the second time. I just hope that childish actions can be overlooked and forgiven.

So why am I so happy??? I had the time of my life for two nights in a row with the most awesome people ever! The first night was with Jessica's old friends from high school who have a badass band and totally fucking rock. Then last night was with some of my old friends from high school. We stayed up all night drinking and 'playing' volleyball in the pool. Of course that's not the real reason I was so dang happy, but I'll use some discretion and wait for the right time and place to discuss that little story. Apparently, I was putting out the vibe this weekend though because I met numerous great single men and I'm totally hooking up Court with about 3 of them. She can take them in whatever order she chooses ;)

Sara, this one's for you...unfortunately
So there I am being the perfect Aunt, giving my boy Kaden a bath. I'm digging around the back of the tub by the toilet looking for the stopper for the drain. After I found it I stood up and my damned cell phone fell into the toilet. With the reflexes of a cat and the speed of a mongoose I reached into the toilet and jerked it out. To my amazement it was still on. I immediately took it all apart and began drying things off with the blow dryer. At the moment it turns on and still seems to be working, so we'll see if I'm at Cingular tomorrow getting a new one.

Well maybe I laughed too much
but I knew it wasn't all a joke
And maybe you didn't think
before everytime you spoke
I think about all the good times
and it cuts me like a knife
I hope that you don't hate me
I hope I see you in the next life
And I wish I could make it work
cause I feel like such a jerk
I wish it wasn't such a game
cause I feel like I'm to blame...

What You Are
And when you wanted me
I came to you
And when you wanted someone else
I withdrew
And when you asked for light
I set myself on fire
And if I go far away I know
You'll find another slave
(chorus)
Cause now I'm free from what you want
Now I'm free from what you need
Now I'm free from what you are
And when you wanted blood
I cut my veins
And when you wanted love
I bled myself again
Now that I've had my fill of you
I'll give you up forever
And here I go far away
I know you you'll find another slave
(chorus)
Cause now I'm free from what you want
Now I'm free from what you need
Now I'm free from what you are
Then a vision came to me
When you came along
I gave you everything
But then you wanted more

Darling, you were always my muse
from the first day to the last
I protected myself to the end
though it was all in vain
I suppose you still are in many ways
I know why the rain falls
and the sun shines
I know why the birds fly
and where the clouds go
I underestimated myself while
overestimating you my muse
from my pain and remorse
has grown a beautiful flower
a flower that is in constant bloom
through the storms
through the droughts
through the sunny days
A precious flower
that grew over the septic tank
My darling muse
you still inspire me
through music
through art
through introspection
you moved me in ways I never knew I could move
you took me to a place inside
that makes me smile everytime it crosses my mind
though there is an empty place without you
my soul is more enriched
by all that you did and
all that you didn't do
my muse you awakened things
that I didn't even know were sleeping
thoughts and dreams
your memory still inspires
still creates desires
always coincidence with you
or was it only games
hard to remember the truth
if there ever was a truth to be remembered
since you there has been no muse to replace
none to compare
none that I want to compare
there will be no more muses
I am my own muse now
finding and giving inspiration in all that occurs
shades of blue eyes but a true Indigo
"light dwells within light"
being the new truth I live by
the new truth that brings me life
life in constant evolution
never stopping to smell the roses
instead creating them
in the most unlikely places
my muse you are not gone
never will be
you're a part of the grand scheme
as we all are
making us all a part of each other
from the stem to the petals
to the water in the vase it ends up in
my muse if I made you cry
it was only to make you feel
if you don't feel
you never live
if I made you cry there was purpose in it
purpose unknown to you or me
you made me cry
"Why is it that for the past twenty-two years of my life
I've never ever once cried over something that someone has said to me?
How is it that before I even knew what was happening
you did something that brought me to tears?"
but only once
after that numbness took over
numbness of reality
which eventually led to growth
and opened an inner door to happiness
and self satisfaction
for these things I will always be full of
"suppose I said you were my saving grace"
and my greatest downfall
bittersweet till the end
"not a daisy, because that is sissy"

I love the Hill Country, there is just nothing like it. The wedding was great. I am totally fried from being in the creek all morning. My crazy ass aunt 'stoned' a catfish and we cooked it for the kids. They loved it. We almost got in a wreck on the way home from H-town. Plus we threw a belt and had no power stearing or power breaks on the way home. My grandmother as always, was a total trip. We snuck in contraband liquor all night at the wedding (glad we took the motorhome). Jenn and I got a little bit shitty last night. We laughed our asses off at everything. I forgot my crazy pills and had to come back and get them, which pissed Monty off because he hasn't been taking his crazy pills, so he stayed at home. shithead. Suprisingly enough, I like my family now that I have crazy pills. I found an arrowhead in the driveway this morning before I left. Took the kids to see the dinosaur tracks by the bridge. LISA IS PREGNANT AGAIN, and she's putting in applications in Texas! All in all it was a good weekend.
oh...I almost forgot
I CAUGHT THE BOUQUET!
which I figure I was due, since that crazy Danielle took a flying leap and almost knocked me down just narrowly missing the groom's cake last weekend.

that what comes around goes around and that everyone gets theirs in the end. If you're really lucky you get to witness it, and if you are REALLY REALY lucky, you get to deal the misery. OFF THA CHAIN...
I've been begging the rents for awhile now to let me fly up to MD and ride home with Court before school starts. So last Saturday at dinner they inform me that for my birthday they are buying me a plane ticket to Baltimore!!! I am so PSYCHED OUT EXCITED it's unreal. Being the ultimate world traveler that I am, I'll be flying out of Denver on the 15th of August since that's the only option my schedule allows. The next day It's New York, New York. I just can't believe it, NEW YORK!!! Then DC, the Capital. Can New England handle this little Texas girl ;)? We soon shall see...

I've had so much encouragement in the past 48 hours to pursue jewelry making not just as a hobby, but as a career. I've had so many compliments, and so have my parents. At the wedding today the bride's father actually told my father how talented I was. This impressed dear old dad so much that when he got home he insisted on seeing what all I've made. I've even had an offer from the groom's mother to sell my jewelry in a boutique in College Station. I'm a little overwhelmed by it. I've wanted to do this since I was a child, it's always been my dream. Geology was just a good background. However, when I started actually making jewelry about a year ago, I saw it as more of a hobby, labor of love type thing. Although I loved my designs, I never really thought about whether or not anyone else would. I'm truly blessed to have a talent I love so much. One should try to never be intimidated by their God given talents.

I love weddings! I'm so excited that Amy Lynn is getting married Saturday. Tomorrow is the big Bachelorette party, and I've got everything in order so far...Bachelorette oath's, task list, whips, Romance in a can, foreplay dice, and of course the most important ingredient $$$. I bought the most perfect fingernail polish on earth for the dress. The dress is made, the shoes fit, the manicure and pedicure is Friday afternoon. And the rehearsal dinner will be off the hook Friday night.

I was looking at some links today and on

On the topics of
Sex and
Family...
There comes a time in every young person's life when they find themselves in a particulary disturbing predicament. That fateful day is sure to come at the most inopportune time, such as a family gathering when you've brought your new boyfriend home for the first time, or the perhaps first time you bring your devoutly christian roomate home. No matter what the occasion there comes the day when your parents and extended family have subconsiously decided as a group that you are no longer their 'little girl' and that you no longer need your ears or eyes covered to be protected from lude comments or actions. No instead they accept you as 'one of them' yes my friends you read that right, you are all of the sudden considered an equal. Now I know what you're thinking, this doesn't neccesarily sound like such a bad thing. You no longer have to go to bed early, you are now allowed to have a beer with your old Man without the fear of Mom finding out. All of this freedom can be overwhelming for a young squirt and sometimes can find you in the most uncomfortable circumstances. Take for instance my 4th of July weekend. There I was having a simple conversation with my mother, aunts and cousins, when the topic of discussion gets precariously close to being X-rated. One minute my uncle's 'live in' is complaining about staying in the camper because she's not used to camping and the next thing I know out it comes "well Jeff wanted to do something I just didn't want to do last night because it makes me uncomfortable in a camper." This comment didn't bother me too much since I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the ramblings of my challenged neighbor. There was however, a comment that made me choke on my caffeine free diet dr. pepper...when my Mother suddenly exclaims "those are the times when you just lay there on the bottom till it's over." My Aunt's response was "why is it that men always get horny when you go camping?" This is where I zoned out of the conversation for my own personal mental health and tried my hardest to find my happy place without it being forever perverted. Now I know, it's not like you don't know that your parents have sex, that's not the point. I'm glad they still have sex. That's a great thing, but sometimes you just don't need or want to know any details about the subject.

Today I had lunch at 'the usual' for those in the know, and I saw one of my old high school buds. It was kinda crazy because George and Ricky and I had just been talking about her and there she was. I hadn't seen her since we graduated and she looked absolutely fabulous. I was so happy to see her. She and I both played flute and were on Flag Corps. together all through high school. We pretty much grew up together, we've had the same classes since elementary. I got her e-mail addy and phone #. She's moving to Austin. Hmmm, Austin seems to be a reoccuring theme in my life here lately, think God's trying to tell me something?

The Natural
The first time I ever saw Triston throw a ball I knew he was a natural. The boy could throw better than I could when he was barely walking. Turns out our little boy is so good that not only did he make the 6 year old all-stars team, he also made the 7 year old. His Father Jeff, went to school with Travis Fryman former Cleaveland Indian and Travis's kids go to school with Kash and Triston. Last week at his all star game Fryman came up to Jeff and told him that Triston had the most amazing talent he'd ever seen in a child that age and that next season he was coaching little league and he wanted Triston on his team so he could have the opportunity to coach him. Mad Props Triston! Our baby boy's going PRO.

Under other circumstances I'd see such news as this as commonplace redneck idiocracy, but today, just for fun I decided to read this news story. Turns out Lee Pugh used to be this moronic Hottie I sat next to in Algebra 1 when I was a freshmen in high school. I hadn't heard of him since that time, I think he went off to alternative school or something of that nature anyway point being, it looks like he hasn't progressed much since then. Who does this kinda stuff?
