The interview yesterday went really well. I hate to get too excited just yet, but I think I'll probably get the job. They took me to lunch afterwards and showed me around the building. This job would be a dream job for me. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I'd get to travel but most likely will not ever relocate. Plus the drive isn't bad at all. I should know something with in a few weeks.

Update...Ok, I have a second interview with Exxon Mobil next week before I leave on my trip. How amazing would that be to have a job waiting on me when I get home from my trip???
The church is a go, we've got the flower girl dresses. I can't wait for the reception and the honeymoon!! WOOHOO!!!
My Dad's business got robbed last week. Some punk ass kids stole some copper wire and melted it down to sell. The wire of course was not recovered but they were arrested, thank goodness.
I'm going to spend the weekend at the lake with mi familia, which is wonderful because I'm really going to miss them on the fourth of July this year. Our whole family usually gets together and goes to play at the lake and this year I'm going to miss it. I'll also miss father's day which has me bummed out so I'm going to give my present to him before I leave. ugh, three weeks at UNM and ten days on the road. Zanex here I come.
Other than that I've been enjoying my few days off a week and working at the resale shop. Oh...I learned how to sew to! I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I made my first project yesterday, its a cute top for Sissy that I'm sure she won't be able to wear because she's going to be ten and still wearing size 2T due to malnourishement.
So that's been life in a nutshell. Oh yea, I'm changing the name of my blog because it doesn't quite work anymore... stay tuned.

We were standing on a mountain topWhere the cactus flowers grow...
(the new flowers are rainbow cactus flowers)
What is it about this place that get in your blood? No matter how many times you get to stand in that blazing sun, eat Chilli in Terlingua, or gaze across the Rio Grande at the sleepy little town of

Boquillas where the kids run in the streets chasing the dust storms, you just can't wait to go back. I love Big Bend. It's a mixture of life and death, searing heat and freezing nights, its the yin and the yang of Texas. Where opposites attract and pain is comfortable. I haven't posted pics from my trip yet because I haven't had time. But now I'm done, my last final is over, hopefully forever.
Here's our digs... the Barker house, researcher housing. It was wonderful, primative and cozy.
This was one OLD lone star can, I think one of my proffessors probably left it there from when he was my age. It was pre-pop top. You had to open it like a can of evaporated milk. I couldn't take it because it was considered an archaeological artifact.
Clouds hovering over the mountains Sierra Del Carmens.
