Hill Country Heaven

Brain and I spend a wonderful weekend in Fredericksburg celebrating our first anniversary this past weekend. He got me a beautiful diamond necklace and I took him to the F'burg food & wine festival. The weather was perfect, the B&B was perfect and the food and alcohol were of course a plus. We went to the wildseed farm to see the butterflies, spent too much money at the herb farm, and drank and ate too much at the festival. Our trip home yesterday took FOREVER! Mostly because of ridiculous Austin traffic *note to self do not go home that way again*
Plus we spent a few hours playing at Pedernales Falls after we stopped by Luckenbach to support the benefit for the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe in Galveston. I got a very clever sticker that has the traditional "I Like Ike" Campain button on it, but it says "I don't like Ike". I think they had some pretty great entertainment lined up, but we didn't stay for too much of the festivities, just a short time for Gary P. Nunn. All in all a great weekend & a much needed break.
