YAY YAY YAY!!!
My trip is so close! I can hardly contain my excitement. I haven't been to West Texas since Freshman year. The average wind chill tonight is 10 degrees! DAMN THAT'S COLD. Thank goodness we'll be in cabins. It's going to be so awesome. I was doing some field work Saturday when it occurred to me as I was examining a specimen that I am now a qualified individual with a degree in this field. You know I may never make alot of money, but as long as I'm doing something I love and am passionate about, I don't think I could ask for much more. So like a typical dorky Scientist, I'll be spending the next ten days in the Chihuahuan desert doing a little Cartography with some of the finest minds in Geology and Paleontology. OF course, I might have to pick up a few meds in Mexico to get me through the week sanely ;)
