I think we are heading to Austin this coming weekend to visit some friends and I've made Brian promise me he'd go to a show with me if I found a good one. So I look on galleywinter at Austin's January calendar and I only know 2 of the artists for the whole month of January. Not that there were very many to begin with. Then I cruised some of the other forums and found Debie's JW&J thread about the family talk time, and of course it sounded like SOSDD. So I headed to Pollstar and of course come up with the perfect show. I'm going to make them go see the Gourds with me. "Whoop Whoop" in the infamous words of my sister-in-law. Taking her out in Austin will be interesting. It will probably consist of her being constantly hit on by drunken strangers due to her drop dead looks, but fun nonetheless. I'm actually excited about going to Austin. We haven't done anything since the last time we went to Austin a few months ago.
P.S. girls let me tell you something in case you didn't already know this...ALL of your friends abandon you when they find 'significant' others. No matter how hard you try to stay in touch of get together, something ALWAYS gets in the way. So I'm not trying anymore. It's a fact. Sad but true, accept it now and the future will be easier.
